FLEA GUIDE
We love vintage design and so do you (we know you do). Get ready for the summer flea markets with our quick guide to “what to go for before someone else snatches it”.
- Vintage textiles (plaids, beddings or curtains which you can turn into cushions)
- Vintage graphics (from old books, magazines etc. which you can turn into graphic art by putting it into a frame)
- Retro vases with beautiful glaze
- Retro ceramics with beautiful glaze
Remember cash and a big bag to carry your new stuff.
Have a merry flea season!

A for Aqua! At Design Letters we expect a hot summer and we can’t wait providing your already well-dressed dining table with our brand new water jug! The large A on the jar is drawn by Arne Jacobsen in 1937. The jug holds 1 litre of cold Aqua for you and your summer guests. And if the summer doesn’t get as hot as we hope, you can also use the jug as a vase for flowers. A for adorable… The jar will be in shops from week 21.

Off course we do, what’s not to like? We also love Stockholm in the summer, and a must-visit there is the brand new ABBA Museum opening on the 7th of May.
Enjoy the vintage graphics and photos on www.abbathemuseum.com and book your ticket now!

We forgot to mention some of our all time favorite cookbooks (sorry, they are all in Danish):
”Brændende kærlighed” (Burning Love) by Thomas Herman. The classic Danish kitchen with a twist. Learn how to make ”frikadeller”, ”stjerneskud” and ”flæskesteg” with style!
”Madjournal” (Food Journal) by Paul Cunningham. Try his Caesar Salad. The best in the world!
”Lauterbach” by Erwin Lauterbach. Always inspiring. We love Lauterbach!

Tired of your kitchen? Join the club. Mette just gave her kitchen a quick make over by painting the shelves in the room black and turquoise + (off course!) adding a lot of graphic Design Letters…you can do the same!
Turquoise shelves and springtime in the kitchen cabinet
Before: Boring white shelves. Now: Beautiful black shelves with Mettes favourite vintage alphabet

Our new wooden cap colours – orange and turquoise – are now in shops. The caps are specially made for our porcelain cups with the beautiful letters drawn by Arne Jacobsen. Adding a cap to your cup, can turn your S cup into a sugar bowl, your C cup into a curry container, and like on the picture create a good looking little storage area. There are multiple possibilities and this is s great way to invite some colours into your home!
