Turquoise shelves and springtime in the kitchen cabinet

London London London
Saved in - Weekend hits

How about a weekend getaway in London?  We just visited and brought back some great tips for you!

Start the weekend in the Chelsea area. Visit the Saatchi Gallery which currently exhibits a free exhibition by Karl Lagerfeld “The little Black Jacket”, worth a visit if you like fashion and beautiful pictures.  After this stroll around Kings Road where there is great shopping and also various wonderful little food markets (on Saturdays). If you feel like lunching stop by The Cadogan Arms (www.thecadoganarmschelsea.com) a classic British pub, with good food. This pub is also a very good place to have a bear in the evening – it’s got that London atmosphere. After lunch if you feel like taking a beautiful walk, take the subway and find the stop St. Paul’s’. From this stop take a walk along the seaside of the River Thames where you will walk by the Millennium Bridge, Tower of London, London Bridge and end up in the area Wapping. This cute area has olds docks and there are also lots of cafes and restaurants (the area is also very nice in the spring and summer time).

Have a great weekend and enjoy!

Afterwards you can buy a souvenir in either Decorate Shop, Illums Bolighus, or Magasin all shops that carries our products with Arne Jacobsens classic stroke. If you are up to being cultural stop by Aros and see the Edvard Munch exhibition. And finally end the day with a good meal at Bistro 65 in Jægergårdsgade (www.klassiskbistro.dk).

New look over the weekend!
Saved in - Weekend hits

If you are wondering what to do the coming weekend – we have a tip. Why not color up your home? Add some color to just one wall and have a new feeling and look in your house. We recommend doing like Mette the owner of DESIGN LETTERS and welcoming a wonderful orange to light up the cold and dark months ahead. The painting project is easily done with just one wall to paint, and makes a huge difference!
So get those paint brushes moving:-)

This means that more than 250 museums, theaters, libraries, churches, ministries and parks in the city is open for audience. There is a variety of exciting events throughout the night. We recommend elaborating you knowledge of Danish design by visiting Dansk Design Center and the exhibit “Denmark by design”. This exhibition shows Danish design icons from 1950 until today.
